#26133 Add OnionBrowser to TorProject.org/download redesigned page traumschule Webpages/Website website redesign
Description

Many IOS users have a hard time finding an "IOS Torbrowser" that TorProject recommends, this can be seen by the many questions that are asked on TorProject's twitter on how to download TorBrowser for IOS. It would be great if A link is added to the redesigned TorProject download page that directs users to Mike Tigas's OnionBrowser. This would also reduce the number of IOS users that accidentally download a NON-recommended "IOS Torbrowser" like "Red Browser".

A disclaimer could be added under the link to the OnionBrowser app saying, "This app is recommend by TorProject but it is not directly developed by TorProject nor directly funded by TorProject".

#28288 Add Win 64bit bundles to es download-easy page hiro Webpages/Website
Description

With commit aacbf99b75c3b8bd3fbac7f53de534023efdb995 we added the Win 64bit bundles to download-easy page. We should also add it to the es version of the page.

#25131 Add a security.txt file to torproject.org Webpages/Website website redesign
Description

security.txt files give people the information they need to contact Tor when they find a security issue.

It's an IETF draft, and Google has done it, so maybe we should too: https://securitytxt.org/

We can use the existing information at: https://www.torproject.org/about/contact#security

And we might want to:

  • add a PGP key file
  • add a signature
  • maybe add a policy or acknowledgements when we decide how they work
#18925 Add instructions for removing the code signing parts of OS X bundles and MAR files tbb-team Webpages/Website
Description

We start with code signing on OS X now and should have instructions on our website for getting rid of the code signing parts to make it easier for comparing the things we ship with the things we built.

#26307 Add link to Tor SlackBuild on download-unix.html.en Webpages/Website website redesign
Description

I thought it would be nice to add link to the Tor SlackBuild on download-unix.html.en. The SlackBuild works fine and is updated regularly.

The code would be something like this:

<tr class="beige">
<td align="center"><img src="$(IMGROOT)/distros/slackware.png" alt="Slackware"></td>
<td>Slackware</td>
<td colspan="2"><a href="https://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.2/network/tor/">SlackBuilds.org</a></td>
<td>
<a href="<page docs/tor-doc-unix>">Linux/BSD/Unix</a><br>
</td>
</tr>

If nobody wants to design a new logo, there's generic.png in /images/distros/ folder

#28829 Add reproducible builds verification notes for Android to our verifying signature page tbb-team Webpages/Website
Description

On https://www.torproject.org/docs/verifying-signatures.html.en#BuildVerification we outline how to make a link between the bundles we actually ship (including update files) to the artifacts one gets by following our reproducible builds path.

So far, this contains instructions for Linux and Windows bundles. macOS is tricky and dealt with in #18925.

This ticket is to add respective instructions for our .apk file(s) we ship.

#29934 CSS media rule mixes all types of screens together hiro Webpages/Website
Description

From https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-relays/2019-March/017101.html:

But about the problematic layout that now exists, in general, the CSS
media rule mixes all types of screens together regardless of
orientation, aspect ratio or size. So mobile and multi-screen desktops
all fall under the 'all' or 'screen' values.
#29937 Cannot choose language on mobile hiro Webpages/Website
Description

#23266 Carryover Tasks Webpages/Website website redesign
Description

This page keeps track of things we need to fix in the old torproject.org that we'll still need to fix when we make a new version of torproject.org.

#16548 Change the HS nomenclature from hidden to onion cypherpunks Webpages/Website WebsiteV3
Description

As discussed during the anonymous services meeting, we should change (or discuss changing) the nomenclature on the website to reflect Syverson's Genuine Onion'' paper.

Please do not make the mistake of grepping for Hidden and replacing it with Onion.

#28828 Change website to better handle multi-locale Android .apk hiro Webpages/Website
Description

Starting with #26483 fixed our .apk file contains all the locales we support. There is no per-locale .apk (anymore) and it is not planned to support that. But e.g. our alpha download page (https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en#downloads-alpha) contains a table with all the available bundles *per locale*.

We worked around that by pointing to the multi-locale .apk for every locale we support but we might want to have something better than this stopgap.

We should revisit the other pages we have that offer the .apk for download to make sure we redesign the whole Android download part if needed and not just a single page.

#28832 Change website to better reflect recommended versions hiro Webpages/Website
Description

E.g. our alpha download page (https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en#downloads-alpha) contains a table with weird 32/64-bit (sig) • 64-bit (sig) choices. It would be better to group choices like in https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
