#18510 invalid "AccountingMax 20 TB" doubles the actual network load compared to "BandwidthRate 8 MB" toralf
Description

With "BandwidthRate 8 MB" I do observe a load of about 3-4 MByte/sec, whereas "AccountingMax 20 TB" yields to a load of 6-8 MByte/sec and an advertised BW of about 16.41 MB/sec (F1BE15429B3CE696D6807F4D4A58B1BFEC45C822)

Assuming, that "BandwidthRate" is meant just for one direction, I do wonder about the factor of 2.

#1936 worksforme "All nameservers have failed" eventdns message varnav
Description

The symptom is messages appearing in the log after some uptime, usually several days:

Sep 11 10:42:30.665 [warn] eventdns: All nameservers have failed Sep 11 10:42:39.684 [notice] eventdns: Nameserver 4.2.2.1 is back up Sep 13 08:56:58.089 [warn] eventdns: All nameservers have failed Sep 13 08:57:01.788 [notice] eventdns: Nameserver 4.2.2.1 is back up Sep 13 08:57:03.089 [warn] eventdns: All nameservers have failed Sep 13 08:57:12.396 [notice] eventdns: Nameserver 4.2.2.2 is back up

After that tor process usually terminates without warning.

There are numerous reports about this issue on the net, just if you try to google that log message.

#188 Not a bug "Allowed Unverified Nodes" not working correctly hyperion
Description

"Allowed Unverified Nodes" works when at least 1 type of unverified node is allowed, but when you don't want ANY unverified nodes (I guess: a line that says only "AllowUnverifiedNodes <blank>"), torcp removes the the "AllowUnverifiedNodes ..." line completely, and so back to default Middle, Rendezvous. If you start torcp with a torrc file with "AllowUnverifiedNodes<newline>", torcp correctly shows that you don't want any unverified nodes on the General Tab, but then removes the line - back to middle, rendezvous.

I'm assuming that "AllowUnverifiedNodes <blank>" means none - tor doesn't accept an entry of "AllowUnverifiedNodes none" or "AllowUnverifiedNodes null".
