Will the tor software run on the 64 bit o/s? I have had a lot of software that would not.

Is privoxy running? Can you see it in your task list?

Should I file separate bug report for nearly identical problem w/newer TB update ver. 1.2.3? I get the same message above, in addition when multiple tries of TB/FF Tools> add-ons> prefs button> window javascript 'test settings' button > "Tor proxy test: Local HTTP Proxy is unreachable"...

polipo running via OS X 10.5.8 PPC 'Activity Monitor'. IPS is with

Vidalia pref>Network, no matter all 3 check boxes selected or not (bridge connection established via Message log) a) I use a proxy to connect to internet b) My firewall only lets me connect to certain ports c) My ISP blocks connections to the Tor network

From TB prefs> Proxy settings> either default "use polipo" checked or "use custom proxy settings" checked result in auto-enabled>manual proxy setting checked same as > FF prefs>network settings window 8118 for HTML & SSL proxy & 9050 on Socks v5

I'd be happy to post up on the wiki or else where screenshots for dummies like me, of *all* the different windows/settings, for other frustrated OS X users, if it could ever be decided which option is the stumbling block w/ connecting/correct pointing of proxies via TB or whatever.

Vidalia message log/detailed shows apparent Tor circuit connection, even with bridges enabled (kind of spotty w/bridges) it's got to be a configuration error somewhere?

Last info, Vidalia>Settings>Advanced shows Control Por

Address Authentication "password" checked box "Randomly Generate"

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated

under TB 1.2.2 I was getting the other TB test settings error message "internal error" as reported recently on Torblog, tried every suggestion there also, to no avail :( .
