web authentication failed with tor hidden services

I cannot authenticate to my server through my hidden services.

What do you mean by web authentication?

This might be a problem with the configuration of your webserver.

Or it might be a privacy 'feature' of TBB on the client side.

Never mind. It works after I switch to a remote computer. However, I would think that many people would do as I did to test the hidden service, and fail because of authentication.

By the way, the authentication I am talking about is the same type of pop-up authentication that is used to log in to this site. (!https://trac.torproject.org/)
