#11388 closed enhancement (implemented)

Add advertised_bandwidth and consensus_weight graphs to weights documents

Description

Nikita Borisov writes on tor-dev@: "One other thing that I personally would find useful is a graph showing the advertised bandwidth and consensus weight in absolute terms, to distinguish effects of things happening on my relay from those happening to the overall Tor network."

This is related to Roger's request on tor-relays@ where asks for a graph for another Tor relay challenge showing "Total consensus weight of these running relays, over time."

It's probably easiest to add these new graphs to weights documents, because that's also where we store fractions of these metrics.

Requires writing some code and then re-processing the metrics archive.

Code is written in my task-11388 branch, a temporary Onionoo instance running this branch is available (initialized only with June 2014 data). Re-processing the metrics archive is running on a separate machine for four days now and will take another two weeks or so.

Discovered a bug in compressing weights when some of the values are missing and some are not. Patch in my task-11388-2 branch. Had to restart re-processing the archive.

Re-processing is done and took four weeks rather than two. Patches are merged into master and Onionoo serves data for two new graphs: advertised bandwidth and consensus weight. That concludes this task.
