I've finally managed to get a hand on the source of the “Tor and HTTPS” graphic that was done by the EFF. I've spent some time making it proper JavaScript'd translatable SVG. See the result:

Source is at

I'd like a Git repository (tor-and-https.git?) so we can sync translations with external tools (e.g. Transifex).

Is there no repo available where this would fit? Making a repo for a single file seems a bit excessive. If there isn't a good other place, I'll happily create it tho.

Note that while Firefox renders that svg correctly, it doesn't work well across the board with some of the other things I've tried. Konqueror & Inkscape don't show translated text, for example.

This is not a single file. See source at

tor-and-https-inkscape.svg is the Inkscape editable version. It is then processed by transform.xsl so Inkscape specifics are removed, JavaScript is added, and strings are made translatable. That creates tor-and-https.svg. The later is then processed by itstool in order to extract strings into the tor-and-https.pot file. tor-and-https.svg is also used together with itstool and po files to generate the localized version.

Inkscape will never render the resulting SVG correctly as it does not contain a JavaScript engine. I haven't tried in Konqueror as the main target is the Tor Browser itself.
