Description

Good evening,
I hope you'll forgive my English.
I installed Tor with torbrowser-install-3.6.1_fr for windows fex days ago. Then, I tried to make it my default browser and then, I diseable HTTPS-E. Since that, each time I close the browser, it bugs and windows show me the error pop-up (see attached file). When I open it another time, it asks me to set Tor like my default browser.
I tried to reset Tor (without success), to set Tor like my default browser manually and to see the Tor checkup (it doesn't display anything, only a white tab).
Here, there are my addons:
HTTPS-Everywhere 3.5.1 true https-everywhere@…
NoScript 2.6.8.25 true {73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}
Torbutton 1.6.9.0 true torbutton@…
TorLauncher 0.2.5.4 true tor-launcher@…
Xmarks 4.3.1 true foxmarks@…
I wish you could advise me to find more information about this issue and maybe fix it.

I apologize if I post this ticket in the wrong place or with wrong key-word, actual points or anything else.

Thank you for reading,
Mishra

I think the easiest solution would be to start again from scratch i.e. delete the corrupted Tor Browser Bundle and download a fresh copy. If you have steps to reproduce your problem with this fresh copy please share them with us. There might be an underlying issue that is currently unknown.

I'm on it. Thank you for your reactivity

I found the problem. I retry every change i have made step by step. Everything work except the box to tick to check if Tor is my default browser. I'll try to desinstall all my browser except FF and retry (in all case, i have to reinstall Tor cause of this issue).

Probably #10761
Did you enable browser history? "Don't record browsing history" option from Torbutton enabled or disabled?

comment:6 Changed 7 years ago by NueMishra

I enabled it before ticking the other option. But it works well for some minuts and i could close Tor without troubles.

EDIT: well, there are some troubles now :D Maybe it's linked to history. Let's diseable them.
