Description

I would like to move the Orfox OS repos to git.torproject.org. Orfox OS is a fork of Firefox OS with Tor integrated. Currently all of the code repos are on https://github.com/orfoxos/. I would like to have a git.torproject.org/orfoxos/ folder set up and git repos for all of the repos currently at github.com. The list includes:

gecko
b2g
gaia
tor
openssl
libevent
gonk-misc
b2g-manifest
B2G-flash-tool

I would also like to set up personal repos for all of these under a huseby dir on git.torproject.org.

Thanks,
-huseby

Is there a naming collision with Amogh's thing? (Has anybody found an arena and arranged the duel?)

So I haven't discussed it with Amogh. Though I did give him a Firefox OS phone so that he can help with development. I figured it wouldn't be much of a problem since Firefox and Firefox OS are so closely named. What's wrong with Orfox and Orfox OS? :)

In the interest of civility, let's solicit Amogh's opinion and I'll change the name if he objects. Amogh?

Well, it isn't exactly a collision, the tor browser for android is going to be called Orfox, and this OS is going to be called OrfoxOS. I'm fine with it :) Also, I could start helping you out huseby, just let me know what you want :)

Awesome! Thanks for making room Amogh. I'm nearing the first full release of OrfoxOS. I forked the Mozilla flashing tool and will be landing some patches to make it capable of downloading and flashing devices with signed OrfoxOS images. But before I can do that, I need to set up the repos on git.tp.o.

This is a "Service - git" ticket. I've been told that Dave wants to tag a release soon, so it would be nice to have the repos done before then.

Oops, sorry for mislaying this ticket. Thank you Yawning for getting this straightened out. It is true, I really want to tag a release soon: https://twitter.com/dwhuseby/status/494117784989626370

Each repo needs a description

huseby: when Sebastian asks for a description, he means a phrase like the others on https://gitweb.torproject.org/

Here are some descriptions:

gecko:: A fork of Mozilla FirefoxOS modified to be OrfoxOS
b2g:: The main build scripts for OrfoxOS
gaia:: The web UI for OrfoxOS
tor:: Fork of Tor with OrfoxOS integration patches
openssl:: OpenSSL with OrfoxOS integration patches
libevent:: LibEvent with OrfoxOS integration patches
gonk-misc:: Low level hardware integration for OrfoxOS
b2g-manifest:: Manifest files for different devices that run OrfoxOS
B2G-flash-tool:: GUI flashing tool for flashing OrfoxOS

I would also like these repos created under my personal account that I can use for staging/integrating before landing in the main repos.

Done, I hope. Let me know if I screwed anything up, if it works please close the ticket.
