Description (last modified by mikeperry)

The firebug developers posted their workaround to the JS disable bug. There is a way to disable JS event handlers
through the FF apis: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409737

Sadly this is not as simple as it sounds. If you suppress events in the content window, the user loses the ability
to use hotkeys or scroll bars while that window is selected.

We could maybe attempt to watch for focus to dead tabs and either inform the user via popup, lightboxing, or by simply
shifting focus to the URL bar. It may be hard to get a focused event for a window that has disabled events though...
