Description

According to Yawning: Selecting the timeline checking all checkboxes and clicking on "Update" leads to a freeze of the browser. This happens in vanilla Firefox on different OSes, too. Might be related to #10631.

I suspect (but am not positive) that this is #12827 along with the usual suspects spamming trac.

FF's problem.

Replying to bugzilla:

FF's problem.

That's not enough to close this bug as almost all Tor Browser issues are actually Firefox issues or compiler issues or... There is some merit in tracking things here to understand what issues are still affecting Tor Browser (or affected it) and working on solutions which we then upstream.

It's great! Usually, bugs of 3rd party software are invalidated in the bugtracker to show users that it's not your fault. But if you decided to track 3rd party bugs, then it's better to mark them explicitly: by keyword "tbb-firefox-patch"(?), Summary or another Component (but Firefox Patch Issues seems to be deprecated).
And if you are so great at upstreaming, then it's time for a proposal for rebasing alpha to 45esr beta for helping Mozilla in beta test.
