Your proxy should be on port 8118.

Why is this bug marked as Invalid?
The Polipo's default port is 8123, so if the user chooses in the configuration for Torbutton "Use Polipo", the port should be set to 8123.

Replying to mehturt:

Why is this bug marked as Invalid?

Because it is.

The Polipo's default port is 8123, so if the user chooses in the configuration for Torbutton "Use Polipo", the port should be set to 8123.

By default, Polipo does not send traffic through Tor. Use the sample Polipo configuration linked to from https://www.torproject.org/docs/tor-doc-unix.
