Description

I would like to be able to check multiple email accounts in thunderbird, without my requests originating from the same tor exit node.

The solution to this (I think?) would be for thunderbird/torbirdy to pause when the user attempts to access a different server from the current one, signal tor to build a new circuit, wait for success, then return control to tbird to enable connection to continue.

Is this possible or is there another solution for my use case?

Thanks in advance.

This has been requested before and what we proposed was to have a way to send NEWNYM from TorBirdy itself (a controller of sorts.)

Since we don't have a timeline for that currently, an easier way of doing this is through the Tor Browser itself, if you are using that. Or through the command line (here).
