We need more information.

What happened when you tried to install it --the same error as bug 141? WHAT advice did you follow?
What did you install instead? (There is no version 0-1.1.0.6; did you mean the one at wangafu.net?)
Did you follow all the install instructions? What privoxy page? Are there any messages in the Tor log?
Is Tor running at all?

It installed correctly. I do mean the one at wangafu.net. It came down to my machine (450 MHz Power PC G4 with 256 MB SDRAM running OS X 10.4) as Tor 0-1.1.0.6-rc Bundle.dmg.

The privoxy page is 503 with the message This is Privoxy 3.0.3 on localhost (127.0.0.1), port 8118, enabled

Connect failed

Your request for http://www.google.ie/ could not be fulfilled, because the connection to www.google.ie (127.0.0.1) could not be established.

This is often a temporary failure, so you might just try again.

Trying again does not work.

I get the same result on Safari and Firefox

My deepest apologies!

I am very much a novice. Tor was not running. Previous versions were loaded at startup. This newest version is not. I did not realise this until I opened the Process Viewer. When I saw that tor was not running I opened the Terminal and launced it. All is fine. Sorry.

Can Tor work with Acquisition?

We aren't sure. It would depend whether Aquisition supports SOCKS correctly.
