tor --verify-config -f torrc --quiet 

output:

Configuration was valid

Expected output none.

Manual page says:

with the --quiet option, which tells Tor not to log to the console at all.

git grep ' printf(' src/or/ displays every case (42 of them) where we drop stuff in stdout without going through the logging subsystem. Some of these probably should remain with --quiet; some probably shouldn't, since they're declaring status rather than outputting results.
