20:41:25 < weasel> envelope is right by default, you don't need to come up with a msgid, it's the standard unix way that'll always work. localhost:25 need not.

Removing milestone "Email Auto-responder." That's what the Component field is for.

This is quite and old ticket, and the suggestion to use /usr/bin/sendmail no longer applies, as the current code of smtplib explicitly expects a hostname (see this).
