Description

my tor-mail-0.0.1 installation has update twice since its release. The latest version shows as thunderbird version 31.7.0.
I also upgraded the included tor by copying the TorBrowser/Tor folder over from torbrowser 4.0.8.

It's been working great for me so far, i'm just wondering is anyone working on this project? Will an update be released anytime soon?
Also, do these thunderbird automatic updates overwrite any of the patches?

I am curious how you found about Tor Mail given that this release was never meant for the public :)

Yes we are working on it but we don't have a timeline for the next update. Right now, I am not aware of any issues with it, after all, it is just Thunderbird (unmodified) with TorBirdy. But the question is whether you should be using it for critical stuff yet? Probably not, till we are sure that things like automatic updates don't break or introduce new leaks.

I think sticking with TorBirdy for now is a good idea.

Hey thanks, I got it off your people.tpo page. I know it's still pre-alpha, and not recommended for anything critical or life threatening. I'm just testing.
I'm glad to report that I got it to work with multiple mail servers, some of them are hidden services, others clearnet. Even subscribing to newsgroups worked fine. I've yet to test the chat account features.
