Description

Please provide a way to make "IMAP vs POP3 as the default" configurable when creating a new account. This would be useful for Tails who would like to make it possible to, for example

  • default to POP3 if persistence is enabled
  • default to IMAP if persistence is not enabled

Changing the default currently requires modifying the Torbirdy source.

The current default is POP3, which is the first option. Did you mean that you would like this default to be configurable through a preference or something similar?

Replying to sukhbir:

Exactly right. Sorry for not explaining it clearly in the OP.

Fixed in 04fd3d.

0 is for POP3 (default), 1 is for IMAP. This is configurable in defaults/preferences/prefs.js using this line: pref("extensions.torbirdy.defaultprotocol", 0); // 0 - POP3, 1 - IMAP. The value set here will reflect in the account configuration window.

(I will let you close it in case this is not what you were looking for.)

OK checked again, I think this is good. Marking this as fixed. (Reopen if you disagree!)
