Description

If I load the attached pdf from a local path the images are missing. This does not happen in the corresponding Firefox and is reproducible for me on different Linux systems. It happens with a default Tor Browser.

FYI: Be careful with this one. There may be good reasons why remote resources are blocked from file urls in general, and a naive fix just for this pdf case could end up undoing that.

I remember this being a problem for both us and Mozilla waaaay back in early the Torbutton days (but sadly that was 8 years ago, and the specifics escape me, unless it was just same origin concerns about remote Javascript running in file origin? I think there were more wrinkles than that though).

True. What makes me suspicious is that it is no problem with a vanilla Firefox to load this and other pdfs from a local place.
