Mystery of the Unintended Exit Node
I was doing some "research" while I noticed something interesting in some HTTP requests I was making to my own server from the Tor Browser Bundle. Most of the time, HTTP requests to a site I owned appeared to "stray" from their intended circuits/exits and might possibly be exiting through nodes that aren't in the current circuit.
I've attached an image to try and explain what I'm seeing. I've tested this a few times, and it looks like the "rogue" (for lack of a better word) changes depending on the current circuit path. I'm interested in knowing if anyone else is seeing this type of behavior.
