Description (last modified by arma)

I added an arma@… account, so I could use the Tor jabber server.

But Tor Messenger keeps telling me that my password is wrong.

Matt thinks I should have written arma@…, and then set the onion server in the "advanced options" menu.

Maybe this is true, or maybe it isn't, but I wanted to change the account name and there is no straightforward way to do that. Do I really need to delete this one and make a new one, and transition the password/etc over?

It is.

Unfortunately, yes, this is, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=953870

For what it's worth, I think you'd have to in Pidgin as well (not that that should be our standard for usability).

Hum, hm. Does this mean we should close this ticket because it's an instantbird bug? Or should we slowly accumulate duplicates of instantbird bugs as they bite tor messenger users? No great answers either way I think.

What we've been doing is keeping them open only if, after discussing, we're prioritizing fixing them ourselves.

How does that sound?

Ok. Well, this one certainly shouldn't distract you from important things like secure update.

Yeah, I think we'll punt to upstream on this one, at least for now.
