Hardened browser updater filled up my disk by following symlink

Description

I tried to upgrade from hardened-6.0a2 to a3 with the built-in updater. It sat there for many minutes making no obvious progress. Eventually I killed it and found its partition was full. I don't think it showed me an error about that.

What happened was that the "download" directory in the profile was a symlink to a larger partition. So it tried to copy ~1TB of downloaded files to my /home partition that was only 100GB. It should copy symlinks as links and not dereference them.

Can you provide steps to help us reproduce this bug? Where was the download symlink located? When the updater stages updates, it does copy symlinks as links.

Realized when looking at my startup script that I have a workaround for firefox #803999, so of course the updater isn't going to see the directory as a symlink. (It was just at tor-browser/Browser/download.) Sorry, I'll close it.
