I used 'android2po' to translate it in the gettext way, and import it into Orbot source tree, then svn diff xxxx > patch.

I'll upload the translated po file if it's more convenience to integrate.

Bumping this one - in the current iteration, a number of strings require localization updates and many are missing any value at all (most obvious being the Settings options.

and all work should be done directly via this site.

We need to do a "pull" from transifex as well in order to assure we have the most up to date translations.

We pull translations every 15 or 30 minutes (can't remember which one, but we pull often) and you can find the files in the Orbot branch of https://gitweb.torproject.org/translation.git

Just commit and push to master, and you're done. Transifex checks the following URL for updates several times a day and pulls in any new or updated strings: https://gitweb.torproject.org/orbot.git/blob_plain/master:/res/values/strings.xml

As long as the version you are pushing to master is the one that ends up on that URL, you're good.

not to turn this into Transifex support forum, but how does one configure that Git polling within a Transifex project? Whenever I've created a new resource for a project, it's always asked to upload from local machine and I don't see any indication that it will automatically update itself.

Transifex can pull source files (not translated files) from a URL; choose the resource and click the "Edit resource" button. You should have an option called "Source file URL".

Since this ticket is no longer about updated Chinese translations for Orbot, I'm marking it as closed.
