Description

On Google Android Devphone 1 with firmware 1.6 and using Orweb version 1 with Orbot Version 11 (Which is the first release in the Android market): When Privoxy encounters Error 500 I get the message

500 Internal Privoxy Error
Privoxy encountered an error while processing your request:

Could not load template file forwarding - failed or one of its included components.

Please contact your proxy administrator.

If you are the proxy administrator, please put the required file(s)in the (confdir)/templates directory. The location of the (confdir) directory is specified in the main Privoxy config file. (It's typically the Privoxy Install directory, or /etc/privoxy/).

As a user rather than a technogeek, I have no idea how to fix this, but I think it should be in the Orbot installation package.

Thanks for the report. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Orbot?

All of the files necessary to run Privoxy are included in Orbot.

Just to confirm there, this is only for error 500s? Does Orweb work otherwise?

I am not sure if I am receiving e-mail for this ticket. If I did, it was probably marked spam and deleted before I caught it.

I do not know how to answer any of your questions. How do I un-install and reinstall Orbot? Basically, I do not use it because it is so incredibly slow that it takes two or three minutes or more before anything at all happens, be it that error message or an invisible capcha from Google.

The web page <https://www.torproject.org/docs/android.html.en> does not have any good information for a person of my skill level. Now I cannot even find “ProxySurf” browser in the Android Market or Orweb references on that page, so I do not know how I found Orweb.

There is also no information or link on that page on how to detect which versions I currently have and whether they are current.
