Description

Apparently there is a search service update feature that hardly anybody knew about (see: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1259510 for a bit of information). We should investigate whether that is an issue for us.

I looked at nsSearchService.js and it appears that setting the pref "browser.search.update" to false already disables any search engine updates:
https://dxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-esr52/search?q=BROWSER_SEARCH_PREF+%2B+%22update%22%2C&redirect=false

In browser/app/profile/000-tor-browser.js in Tor Browser, we already have

pref("browser.search.update", false);

so I think no action is needed.
