Description

Mozilla just landed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1348278 (will be in ESR 59 but not 52) to speculatively connect to a link when the user mousedowns (but before they release.)

There is no pref for this.

The bug also mentions speculative connections on hover on http pages.

#28371 is a duplicate. In that ticket, related to the "on mousedown" connections, tom said:

This should be fine. It speculatively connects passing NodePrincipal() which contains OriginAttributes.
