Description

Currently the Tor Project Youtube account is tied to my @tpo email address. In order to pass it to comms people, we need to migrate the account to social@… or make a new one such as youtube@…

Seems like a better approach to this, is to make the Youtube account, a "Brand Account":

I'm going to try that and then add Social to the managers. That way, not one person can be the bottleneck for managing the account.

The social@… email need to become a Google account for this to work. Stephanie told me she's access to this account and it is indeed associated with a Google account.

I'll attempt to make our channel a brand account and then add social. Hopefully this will work smoothly.

After going through a rabbit hole of settings and instructions, the account has been moved to a "brand account". All the videos, subscribers, etc have been moved to the new account.

and 'social@…' has been invited as the owner of the account.

I received an invitation at social@…. When I tried to accept as social@, it said this email did not have a google account. When I tried to create a google account for social@, it said there already was an account.

I've accepted ownership with my personal email.
