"This page isn't redirecting properly" errors in TorBrowser but not in Firefox

Description

The subject error appears on many URLs with TorBrowser. The few that I have tried in regular Firefox work fine. One such example is http://www.jreast.co.jp/en. The problem also happens when tumblr redirects the browser to unmasked "sensitive" blogs.

None of the reasons given in Firefox's help for this error seems to apply to TorBrowser: cookies are enabled, network.http.sendReferer is enabled, etc.

I am using TB 7.0.4.

I have the security slider at its default position: Low.

Hm. Disabling NoScript or HTTPS-Everywhere does not help. Nor does enabling 3rd party cookies. I wonder what causes this problem then... Akamai interfering maybe?

Maybe. However, http://www.jreast.co.jp/en is working for me now. It seems someone fixed their stuff to get this site working with Tor Browser. Tested with a clean 7.0.4 and 7.5a4.

Thus, I'll close this bug as WORKSFORME. If there are other URLs where you exhibit this problem, please reopen this bug (although I don't have much hope that we can do anything about it).

According to Bugzilla, this is the only one Firefox issue that could be the cause. Another one "Based on information found in bug 622579, it appears that this is a "third party cookie" issue." is irrelevant.

Everything other is a tech evangelism. Site owners should check their stuff with, e.g. web-sniffer.net, for redirection loops, etc.

If you agree, then this ticket is INVALID. (WORKSFORME is used when you fixed something, but not completely sure your fix works ;)

That's one reason for WORKSFORME, yes. But another valid one seems to be if the issue is not reproducible anymore as in this case. See comment:4 for reasons to reopen this ticket.
