Description

Cheers, Congratulations for your fantastic work.
Using Tor Browser, I am visiting the online catalogue database of my Univesitiy (logged into my personal user). When I select the link of an document (usually an article in academic press), the browser should open a new window to show the external link of the destination website (usually the academic press website with the article I have selected). However this final step makes an error

Sorry to hear that you can't visit the website you wanted!

Sometimes websites will block Tor users because they can't tell the difference between the average Tor user and automated traffic. Or they might use a specific cookie or local configuration that doesn't allow Tor Browser to load the page.

The best success we've had in getting sites to unblock Tor users is getting users to contact the site administrators directly.

Hm! This doesn't look like it was a case of the website blocking Tor.

It looks like it was a case of Tor Browser not keeping the logged-in credentials from one click to the next.

That is, I think this is a Tor Browser issue.

For example, maybe it was #17933.

Though I guess it's ambiguous whether it's the destination website intentionally not handling Tor well, vs Tor Browser messing things up. Hm!
