#23350 new defect

Website loads endlessly if connection went back then came, while other websites work just fine if they're loaded afterwards

Description

How to reproduce:

  1. Go to a heavy website, example: washingtonpost.com
  2. I've used my laptops wireless network kill switch, if you don't have one use a keyboard shortcut to turn off the wifi, you should be quick to shut off the network right after you see "Connected to washingtonpost.com".
  3. Wait 10s
  4. Resume the network.
  5. Open new tabs with torproject.org, github.com... They should load.
  6. However the tab with washingtonpost.com never stops from loading.

This also happens if I change 2) and 4) with switching between different wifi networks (in which case the tor daemon waits until it rotates keys before building circuits again).

Just a quick thought: Does this happen as well if you disable multiprocess mode (by setting browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 to false) and restart Tor Browser? (I wonder whether that is essentially the same as #21924).

Just tested it and this issue didn't happen in that case.

Could somebody answer why that spinner https://bug1284395.bmoattachments.org/attachment.cgi?id=8767853 eats half the power of my two cores?
