an "Starting build" line
however the commandline gives me Error: Error uploading container-image_ubuntu-base-17.04-base-amd64.tar.gz

Could you paste the full logs you have before the error when you try to do a build?

Also, which tor-browser-build.git commit have you been using?

I replaced my path to the directory I invoked make release with $TRB
also I let the rbm program output some scripts before executing
