This looks fine to me, but the commit needs to be cherry-picked onto maint-0.2.8 when we merge, because 0.2.8 is still supported until 1 January 2018. (By the way, 0.3.0 is still supported until 26 January 2018.)

I didn't put it onto 0.2.8 because that's so close to being EOL and not really being a functionality improvement for it, but I can cherry-pick it if you want

Confirmed: ipv6 authorities were added in 60fc2b25392796ad7c42ee16f43b9b5787ad30ad, which fist appeared in 0.2.8.1-alpha.
