Description (last modified by teor)

Recently, DNSPort is way unstable. I think some exit nodes are returning wrong IP address(pointed to some hosting provider) or blocking DNS request.

Can anyone experiment on this automatically?

This is a task for exitmap, which doesn't have a component on this bug tracker.

this is likely about #21394 fixed in the latest releases
https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-announce/2017-December/000147.html

Arthur already does test exit relays for DNS failures

Can we close this ticket?

We believe this is fixed in Tor 0.2.9.14, 0.3.0.13, 0.3.1.9, and 0.3.2.6-alpha.
Please give operators a few weeks to upgrade.

Please feel free to reopen this ticket if the problem persists into 2018.
