Description

I got this issue yesterday for both Debian and Ubuntu. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Tor and torbrowser-launcher, but no luck. Here's the Terminal outputs:

The OS where I reinstalled Tor:

Jan 24 18:03:00.709 [notice] Read configuration file "/etc/tor/torrc".
Jan 24 18:03:00.711 [notice] Opening Socks listener on 127.0.0.1:9050
Jan 24 18:03:00.711 [warn] Could not bind to 127.0.0.1:9050: Address already in use. Is Tor already running?
Jan 24 18:03:00.711 [warn] Failed to parse/validate config: Failed to bind one of the listener ports.
Jan 24 18:03:00.711 [err] Reading config failed--see warnings above.

That's a torbrowser-launcher issue and not a Tor Browser one, see:
https://github.com/micahflee/torbrowser-launcher/issues/306

That tool is barely maintained. We recommend using Tor Browser directly, as we ship it. Duping this over to #25012.
