Description

<devilproxytor> log.c:566: `_EVENT_LOG_DEBUG' undeclared (first use in this function)
...

He was building with the old BSD approach of
CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/include" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib" ./configure

When he built with vanilla ./configure, it had the same problem.

It succeeded when he built with ./configure --with-libevent-dir=/usr/local

Should we try to make it work without needing a manual tweak?

I think I need the actual output from configure, including configure.log, for this.

It sounds like "configure" is finding him one libevent "event.h", but later he's compiling
against another.

Two months have passed; can anybody help me out here? Otherwise, I'll have to close it.

flyspray2trac: bug closed.
Closing this bug due to lack of feedback. We fixed something similar on freebsd around the same time, so we may have this one settled too.
