Description

Trac will send people emails about their own changes to tickets they've subscribed to. Obviously, they already know about such changes, and thus needn't be notified of them.

I could adapt if we change this, so not a big deal either way, but I actually don't mind that I get mail telling me what I just did. It's similar to the reward mechanism you get when your svn commits are summarized to IRC -- you know that other people just got notified too. (We lost that reward mechanism when we moved to git, since the downsides became much higher.)

I have a slight preference for getting emails about my own changes since they provide a nice (search-able) record of my changes. That said, it isn't a big whoop either way to me either.

We could change always_notify_updater to false in trac.ini (see http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracNotification). This setting tells trac to not send updates to the user who caused the ticket change.

However the preference here seems to better getting emails even if this are own changes. Thatswhy I recommend setting up a mail filter and will close the ticket as won't fix.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
