Twitter has deprecated serveral API integrations, including Direct Messages. See https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/direct-messages/sending-and-receiving/guides/direct-message-migration for more info.

Fixing this will take some time.

Hi, we're updating our documentation this week. Should we remove this entry from the support portal?

This isn't done yet, but here's a start on fixes to the twitter service in gettor: https://gitlab.torproject.org/torproject/anti-censorship/gettor-project/gettor/-/merge_requests/9

Not sure why this got changed. Still needs a review.

Looks good to me. The only nitpick I have is a typo in a log message.

I refactored this branch a bit and did a bunch of other refactoring and... the twitter responder is working again! It's deployed as a hot fix right now while we wait for a code review: https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/anti-censorship/gettor-project/gettor/-/merge_requests/14

Hmm okay taking off the hotfix because it seems like it's still a bit buggy. GetTor appears to lock up after a while. I suspect this has to do with multiple processes doing database calls at the same time.

Also localization seems not to work as expected. But this is pretty good progress.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
