Gesturify 2.x does not work with Tor Browser 8

Description

As reported on our blog Tor Browser 8 seems to break the Gesturify extension (see: https://blog.torproject.org/comment/277145#comment-277145):

Add-on installs and configures just fine, but the mouse gestures do not work. No matter which mouse gesture I try, there's always a diagonal line (starting from the upper left corner to the center of the browser window) and then nothing happens.

might be dom.w3c_pointer_events.enabled=false (sorry, I don't have a TBB8* handy to check the default value) - see https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/271#issuecomment-376139960

dom.w3c_pointer_events.enabled is still true in Tor Browser. However that might change soon, see: #25794.

That said, yes, if I disable privacy.resistfingerpring then I get the extension to work. Might be useful if someone could try a bunch of things to figure out what exactly is breaking the extension in this mode.

FWIW, comment at https://blog.torproject.org/comment/278393#comment-278393

dom.w3c_pointer_events.enabled=false no mouse gestures are seen by the extension, as if it's not even turned on
dom.w3c_pointer_events.enabled=true mouse gestures are seen by the extension, but no matter what gesture I try, only 'UP' gesture is executed
