UI glitches after updating Tor Browser on Windows

Hi, This is the 3rd time this has happened after installing the tor bundle. Interesting, I was phished last night too. Not sure if they are related

So, this happens only from time to time and there are no clear steps to reproduce the issue? Where did you get your Tor Browser from? This is the en-US bundle? On which Windows version are you?

It looks like the onboarding UI is not only reversed but also duplicated.

I wonder whether https://blog.torproject.org/comment/279413#comment-279413 is the same underlying issue (with text, though).

Workaround:

• download Tor Browser via affected Tor Browser (downloading works correctly).
• export all your bookmarks to a file.
• copy your torrc file (and all other modified files)
• Use Shift+Del on folder containing Tor Browser Bundle
• Install downloaded current version of Tor Browser
• restore torrc
• start Tor Browser
• import bookmarks.

It should help you. The "update Tor Browser" option is affected. Part of files are damaged / not changed after "updating" via "update" function.

So, this happens only from time to time and there are no clear steps to reproduce the issue? Where did you get your Tor Browser from? This is the en-US bundle? On which Windows version are you? It happens until reinstall the Tor Browser with delete of all files from TorBrowser directory. Defect of TB-update.

Please change status to assigned and type tbb-team in CC/Owner field.
