Hmm. Is this behavior new? Kathy and I see this even without the change proposed in this ticket. Since the onions are anchored to the bottom of the window, when the window is very short the onions will appear behind the content (which seems OK to Kathy and me).
I've never seen this behavior before to be honest. If that's not related to this ticket (even though without your patch I did not see it on my Windows 7 testing system), even better. :) So, I merged your branch to master (commit 9ae78d32be280bcf58819676f700994544049ae8), thanks.
