Description

Chrome has support for this btw.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Play some media on Tor Browser like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
  2. Once it's playing, press the play/pause button on your keyboard
  3. Nothing happens, unlike Chrome where it pauses.

clash: Does this work in a vanilla Firefox ESR 60 for you? (bundles can be found at: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/)

What about a recent Firefox (not one from the ESR train)? Maybe that's already fixed there?

Before updating to the ESR I tried it on the standard release (67.0.4 iirc). It didn't work there either.

Okay, so this is not strictly a Tor Browser but a Firefox bug. I suppose https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=448910.

That seems a way old ticket but yeah it's not a Tor Browser bug per se. Would be a useful feature, anyway.
