Description

The Dutch (nl) and Protugese (pt_PT) Tor Project website resources have been fully translated on Transifex, but is not yet being offered to visitors. Note that by offering the translated page, the default download link will also be offered in that locale, and can thus help visitors discover the Tor browser in their own language. It might also make sense to give this resource (which is both the landing and the downlaod page) a higher priority within Transifex.

This is not true. Also, the Tor Browser is available in more languages that the webpage.

We still need to do a first review of the contents for the Dutch and Portuguese-Portugal languages.

@emmapeel

I tested it again, the avaiability of a certain translation of the download page does determine which locale is offered as default download. Why would you say that is not true? I really do see this happening.

Just make sure your webbrowser sends a request header for a language which isn not avaiable, and you'll find that the website always offers the English version by default. yes, the browser is available in more languages than the wbesite is, but why would that link not just offer the correct locale despite missing translations for the download page?
All that needs to be done is match the offered download link with the language request header.

I will contact two reviewers on the Dutch team suggesting to have a look at their own discretion.
