Description

My snowflake webextension has been working well up to this point but recently started having the error "Could not connect to the bridge." for the past few days. I'm not sure if this is something on my end or something with Snowflake.

This is a feature we added in #31391, but was shipped a while ago.

Can you try pinging the snowflake bridge from a terminal?

ping snowflake.bamsoftware.com

If that works, try turning your snowflake off and on again to force it to recheck its connection with the bridge.

My first suggestion is to try de-activating and re-activating the snowflake proxy so that it does the check again.

Different cypherpunk here. I had the same problem and fixed it by disabling and re-enabling the extension. Perhaps Snowflake should try to re-establish connectivity once in a while. Many users won't know what to do when their snowflake melts.

Yep, that's a good point. I created #33365 for that. I'll make a note to add a "Retry" button to the UI.
