BTW, the same is true for recently released FF 6.0

I assume you are saying none of the links on that page work? This does not happen for me with Tor Browser Bundle.

Note that I do not have a webmaster toolbox account. I just accessed the url and was able to click on resource links and navigate to the login screen.

No, I mean that browser completely hangs after few seconds (Not responding), then Windows suggest to kill it. No clicking is needed.
Just see this bug on clean FF profile with only Torbutton 1.4.0 just installed, i.e. inactive and no settings touched.
Win7 SP1 Ultimate all updates.
Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant is installed on the machine, but its service is disabled and it isn't FF addon, so can't play role.

Hrm. Can you try the 2.2.30-alpha Tor Browser Bundle? It comes with FF5 and 1.4.0, and is better at blocking all sorts of random windows plugins from loading.

The binary you want is all the way at the bottom of this list:

Just tried with the same result.
It seems you don't pay attention on the main paradox of this bug. _Active_ TB, i.e. green "Tor Enabled" state does not hangs. It is _inactive_ TB, red-crossed, "Tor Disabled" cause that.
BTW, on that page I notice excessive amount of JS code. Could it by chance affects TB JS code somehow?

This is intended behavior. If you disable tor, pages you loaded while torbutton was green will not load.

Oh, you mean hang the entire browser. That is perhaps not intended. But our solution is the same: don't do that. We're phasing out toggling. Stick to the TBBs.

comment:8 Changed 7 years ago by Ache

I don't toggle it on the fly. TB was disabled _before_ browser started and so remains disabled when URL is entered.

Just FYU: the bug remains with recent TB 1.4.1 too. Another URL which cause the same hang: http://www.bing.com/toolbox/home/ Main http://www.bing.com/ works.
And I don't touch TB since browser starts.

Version: Torbutton: 1.4.0Torbutton: 1.4.4.1

Recent update - just tested with FF 12.0 and TB 1.4.5.1, the same hang.
It seems their javascript do something with cookies to detect login to webmaster area and it interferes bad with inactive TB (just guessing).
