Description

The farsi translation of tpo is broken, https://torproject.org/index.html.fa.

  1. It uses the ltr css. It should use rtl.css.
  2. It has english navigation links.
  3. It has english footer and headers.

I think this means we need to translate footer.wmi, navigation.wmi, and header.wmi to make sure the correct css and translated words are used.  The arabic translation does it correctly.

Yep, that's correct. Info about how to translate the .wmi files and where to send them can be found here: https://www.torproject.org/getinvolved/translation.html.en

Where is the wml for that page coming from? I don't see any files in the website/fa/ directory. I'm guessing we're looking at an orphaned html file that happens to have not gotten deleted from somebody's website sandbox (for example, mine)?

Sounds right. Someone should clean their website sandbox, build and push the website again. According to https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/torproject/resource/1-website-index-pot/, the translation of index.wml is at 68% for Farsi, which means we don't include it on the website at all.

Ok, after cleaning and repushing, https://www.torproject.org/index.html.fa now gives me a 404.

Whoever pushes next that hasn't done a fresh checkout will presumably add the file back. :)

I wonder if 'make clean' is enough. At first glance it appeared to be.

Now that we've dropped website translations, this ticket is moot.
