Description (last modified by mikeperry)

Separate from #4235 and #4258, Vidalia also doesn't exit if Firefox restarted due to an addon upgrade or adddon enable/disable restart.

To reproduce:

  1. Launch TBB
  2. Go to Tools->Addons->Extensions
  3. Disable an addon (like NoScript)
  4. Click Restart Now.
  5. After Firefox restarts, exit again normally.

Vidalia doesn't notice the exit after the restart and continues running after step #5.

I'm not sure that we will be able to come to a solution for this.
Mike: do you know how Firefox handles the actual restart?

From testing with alpha I see that firefox fires up a new instance. The alpha catches the firefox closing, but it doesn't catch the new one starting. So I think the only way to fix this is to somehow make firefox restart through vidalia, which will need some patches in firefox.
