Description

When doing a yum update on a centos4 server with tor installed I get the following:

root@svr [/]# yum update
Setting up Update Process
Setting up repositories
http://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org/rpm/centos4/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Not Found
Trying other mirror.
Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: torproject
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from torproject: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
Error: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from torproject: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

I can confirm that the centos4 folder does not exist on the server.

I don't know what deb-master.torproject.org is nor why it ever worked. I don't know why centos4 disappeared.

Presumably "deb-master.torproject.org" is the master that all the deb.torproject.org mirrors rsync from?

root@svr [~]# host deb-master.torproject.org
deb-master.torproject.org is an alias for byblos.torproject.org.
byblos.torproject.org has address 86.59.21.36
root@svr [~]# host deb.torproject.org
deb.torproject.org has address 86.59.30.36
deb.torproject.org has address 194.8.197.22

Presumably whomever wrote the website docs must have a clue...

It may also be worth noting that deb-master DOES respond on the rsync port of 873.

root@svr [~]# telnet deb-master.torproject.org 873
Trying 86.59.21.36...
Connected to deb-master.torproject.org.
Escape character is '^]'.
@RSYNCD: 30.0

@ERROR: protocol startup error
Connection closed by foreign host.

I can only assume that somebody is still maintaining the master and made the decision to remove the centos4 directory.

Presumably someone has access to "byblos.torproject.org" to restore the centos4 directory to the master and fix this.
