Description

moria's bwscanner is down currently, since it loaded the box's disk IO too much during our recent clients-dossing-authorities adventure.

I hear there's a newer version that doesn't touch the disk much?

Go ahead and upgrade to origin/master. You should blow away everything, with the sole exception of any customizations to the cron.sh and run_scan.sh script you may have made. The new config defaults are set for the memory sqlite db.

phobos: please do not upgrade to origin/master. I want to keep one bw auth running the old code to compare against for a couple more weeks, and you are the last one left.

arma: Also, you will need to ensure that your 3.7 sqlite version gets used, not the 2.x one. I am not sure how to do this, as I'm not sure why or how you even have two versions installed..

It is probably also a good idea to use the latest sqlalchemy (0.7.3) + elixir (0.7.1) as well.

SQLite 2 and SQLite 3 were designed to be installed side-by-side, unlike Python 2 and Python 3. SQLite 2 and 3 can even be linked into the same program safely, because they use different prefixes for their function names.

Hopefully the Python bindings written for SQLite 2 and 3 have that same nice property.

arma: By "blow away everything" I meant your git deltas for the postgres config. You can keep your data files if you want.
