Description

My Firefox is configured to never save forms or passwords on any site.

After enabling Tor usage with Torbutton 1.1.6 everything is fine but after disabling Tor,
Firefox asks me whether to save a password on every login.
In the Firefox settings the options "Save passwords" and "Save data I enter on webpages" are both enabled.

I'm using Windows XP SP2 Pro (german) and Firefox 2.0.0.6

Potential workaround: Disable history writes during non-tor (will of course cause you to
not have history saved). Fixing this one properly will require me to stash your original
pref somewhere, and that can easily get confusing once torbutton is installed should
you want to change it..

In my oppinion the user wants Torbutton to do exactly the thing you are talking about.

Torbutton should save the complete Firefox-state BEFORE usage and restore the complete state AFTER usage. I haven't worked it out in detail, but there are some other settings and behaviours that are different after the usage of Torbutton.

In my oppinion the Torbutton-Extension should be totally transparent, so that any change made to the config is temporary.

flyspray2trac: bug closed.
Fixed in r11626 by making a seperate pref in torbutton. Simpler and saner than trying to save user prefs but still allow them to be editable by firefox UI.
