Description

Hey Guys,

I thought I would create a new ticket as it doesn't seem to be related to the previous one. I picked up the comments from #5009 and got in so far as autogen.sh and ./configure work perfectly.

My problem now appears to be that "make" falls over.

Here is the output when I run the command:

root@dragon:~/obfsproxy# make
make all-am

Sounds like you didn't apt-get install libssl-dev

comment:2 Changed 7 years ago by arma

(If that's true, the bug here is that ./configure should realize that it's missing.)

Summary: obfsproxy compilation failing at "make" stage - Debian Squeezeconfigure should realize libssl-dev is missing

Hi Arma, looks like that is indeed the bug!

'rsavoye' suggested to do this with AC_CHECK_HEADERS([openssl/aes.h]). It sounds reasonable.

Pushed bug5087_take2 in https://git.gitorious.org/obfsproxy/obfsproxy.git:
https://gitorious.org/obfsproxy/obfsproxy/commit/0da2d8623e2d2910eb9d7c2c56ecce7f29831ef0

It contains more extensive checking for OpenSSL, and it also aborts installation if the relevant headers and functions are not found. Previously we would just continue with the installation.
