Description

OpenSSL 1.0.1 introduces fast, constant-time implementations of AES for IA-32 and AMD64 computers. All Tor packages for those architectures should include it.

For info on _how_ fast, see #5440 and #5406. We're talking order-of-magnitude improvement here in some cases.

I wasn't sure if 1.0.1 was stable enough for us to use, but since both of you think it's a good idea, I'll put it into the next packages I release.

Yes, except for the PPC packages (OpenSSL 1.0.1 just... will not build there). Closing.

(For clarity, this ticket had to do with the Tor/Vidalia bundles on our download page. Not other packages like the Tor deb.)
